Our charity accounting experience

At the heart of UHY is a deep commitment to supporting the not-for-profit sector. We work with more than 300 charity and NFP sector clients, of varying sizes and with a range of objects, across the UK. Our work includes advising grant making trusts, international charities, educational bodies, academies, membership associations, and many other charities and trusts across the UK.

Our experienced charity specialists are dedicated to helping charities and other not-for-profit entities navigate the financial complexities of running their organisations, ensuring they remain financially sound and focused on achieving their core objectives.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in consistently outstanding feedback from the sector. This includes 100% of our charity clients participating in the 2024 survey awarding UHY the top score for our overall service, placing UHY in first position in the magazine’s ‘Charity Auditor Awards 2024’ shortlist. This recognition highlights the incredible work of our charity and not-for-profit team and their dedication to helping the sector prosper.

We are also actively involved in the sector and are proud members of the Charity Finance Group. We are appointed to the approved panel of Interim Managers for the Charity Commission, with four of our partners approved to take interim manager appointments for charities identified by the Commission as either being the subject of an inquiry, or where misconduct or mismanagement has occurred.
