David graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Accounting and Management control. He then trained at a small Nottingham based practice and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in September 2002. In November 2002, David joined UHY Hacker Young as an audit senior, rising through the ranks from assistant manager, manager, director, and finally partner in 2023.

David has a number of years of general practice experience dealing with owner managed business and looks after a wide range of small and medium sized entities, dealing with both audit and non audit clients in a wide variety of sectors.

David also has a keen interest in the charity and not-for-profit sector. He is a member of UHY’s national charity and NFP sector group and acts for a number of small and large charities and membership associations.

In his spare time, David is a keen musician and holds a high ranking black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
