On the 27th April the Government announced their latest form of funding to further prop up the UK economy. With effect from 4 May 2020 we expect many small and medium sized businesses to be able to claim for a ‘bounce back loan’ for up to £50,000. The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is a government grant to reimburse employers for 80% of a ‘furloughed worker’s’ wages or salary, to a cap of £2,500 per month plus employment costs. It is a complex support package that has raised many questions amongst SME business owners.
