James is a partner at UHY Hacker Young and head of the audit department, having joined the firm’s London office in 2011.

He has extensive experience in auditing and advising both listed and privately owned companies across a broad range of sectors, including financial services, property, technology, natural resources and automotive. A significant proportion of his client base operates internationally, either as UK parent companies or UK subsidiaries of overseas groups.

James also leads the firm’s Financial Services Group and has considerable expertise in auditing and advising regulated businesses, including private equity and venture capital funds, fund managers, brokers and corporate finance houses.

In addition to audit, James has acted as reporting accountant for numerous companies in connection with their admission to the London Stock Exchange and AIM Market. He has also led financial due diligence investigations in the UK and overseas, supporting acquisitions across a variety of sectors.

Outside of work, James enjoys playing golf and is a keen motorsport fan.
