UHY Corporate Finance London advised the Shareholders of M’s Building Supplies (‘M’s’ or ‘the Business’) to Sydenhams Ltd.
M’s is a highly regarded builders merchants established in 2012 and serves the needs of Reading and the surrounding area, with sales revenue above £3m.
The shareholders decided to step back and retire from the Business and wanted to provide the right home for their long serving and valued employees.
After running a two-stage competitive process Sydenhams were selected as the preferred party. The process consisted of 100% share sale of the Business and a separate sale of the land and property. Sydenhams is an independent family run company with a long tradition of supplying timber and building materials throughout central and southwest England.
M’s provides Sydenhams further regional growth with an opportunity to develop the product offering and locality served.
The final price secured is non-disclosed but was an exceptional result for the client. The transaction was led by corporate finance director Robert Kidson and supported by Irfan Topia, corporate finance manager.
