The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) have published the 2021 Academy Trust Handbook (also known as the Academies Financial Handbook), which will be effective from 1 September 2021.
The document continues to set out the financial management, control and reporting requirements that apply to all academy trusts. There are once again a number of changes in the Handbook. In our summary we highlight the changes with our helpful commentary on what these may mean for the sector.
