Andy regularly supports Allan and Liz by attending trustees’ meetings, and clients often comment about his relaxed approach. Andy works particularly closely with his academy school clients, helping them to develop and improve their financial controls and systems, and to understand the regulatory framework they find themselves in. His experience extends to helping his clients prepare budget forecasts and in recent years, with the growing number of multi-academy trusts,
Andy has carried out numerous financial due diligence exercises to provide clients with assurance over the financial position and systems of schools joining into their trust. He is a member of UHY’s National Academy Schools Working Group, and regularly contributes to the group’s blogs and newsletters.
Whilst Andy’s recent focus has been on the charity and education sector he also deals with some commercial clients, mainly SMEs, and has experience working in a range of sectors.
Andy’s wife also works for UHY, and they have three young children, who keep him busy outside of his work life.
