UHY Hacker Young advises on sale of two Westway Nissan sites to Yeomans

This takes Yeomans up to a total of 25 locations representing various brands across Devon, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex, including 7 Nissan sites having also acquired the Barnard and Brough dealership back in June 2022.

James Smith, Chairman & Managing Director of Yeomans, said:

“We are delighted to be expanding our partnership with Nissan in Aldershot and Basingstoke. This acquisition takes us to seven outlets with the brand whom we have represented since our first site opened in Worthing in 1986. It is an exciting time for Nissan in the UK with the launch of Ariya and new electrified powertrains across the range, we look forward to sharing a successful future. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome all our new colleagues to Yeomans.”

David Kendrick, Head of Automotive at UHY Hacker Young who advised on the sale to Yeomans said:

“This is another example of a manufacturer owned group exiting their retail sites. The Westway business has operated these businesses for some time and it makes commercial sense for them to now be integrated into a privately owned group – this appears to be a continuing market trend with Mercedes Retail Group also exiting businesses recently. I have no doubt the these dealerships will continue to flourish under Yeomans leadership. The wider automotive M&A market remains extremely busy and there will certainly be a lot more transactions announced over the coming months from what we are seeing.”
