End of Year Certification (EOYC) begins in March, and we would like to remind you of some of the key dates;
30 March – Final date to submit declaration and contact details via the portal
23 April – EOYC can be downloaded for completion
31 May – Unaudited EOYC form to returned to TP (You do have the option to submit an audited EOYC by this date)
28 September – Audited EOYC to be returned to TP (non LAs)
30 November – Audited EOYC to be returned to TP (LAs only)
It should also be noted that from 1 April 2018 the annual salary rate for eligible employment bands are changing in line with Consumer Price Index (CPI) and will rise by 3%.

The member and employer contribution rates will be staying the same, it is just pensionable pay banding which will be changing. This will be a welcome relief for any struggling academies, as they now don’t need to find further funds to cover the increase in the employer contributions.
Only pensionable pay should be included, figures should be adjusted to exclude the following;
- Opted out of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS)
- Aged 75 or over
- Is already correctly contributing to a local government pension scheme
- Non-pensionable allowances eg. overtime where a member is not in the career average scheme
- Is paying contributions on a former higher salary
