Simon Browning

Simon is partner in charge of our Nottingham office and is a fellow of the ICAEW and a Chartered Tax Adviser.

Simon has a wealth of experience gained during his time with a Big Four and top ten firm over the past 20 years. He was recognised as one of the country’s top ‘40 under 40’ tax professionals by Tolley’s Tax Journal in 2012/13, highlighting him as “one of the best young professionals working in tax today”.  The guide selects professionals that provide technical excellence, commercial nous and good client skills.

Simon works closely with clients, ranging from owner-managed businesses to large corporate groups.  He regularly advises shareholders on wealth extraction and has vast experience of tax efficient structuring, particularly in relation to transactions.  Aside from mainstream corporation tax, Simon’s particular strengths are transactional tax advice, R&D tax credits, patent box, shareholder planning and shareholder/employee incentivisation.
