Mark joined UHY in 2006 and became managing partner of our Manchester office in early 2018. He qualified and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland whilst training with a large independent Edinburgh practice. He subsequently moved to the Scottish Highlands to take on the role as a partner in a smaller Highland practice, before moving to Manchester in 2002 to join a corporate finance based accountancy practice.

Mark has had extensive experience, not just of accountancy and audit, but also personal and corporate tax, strategic business planning, business funding, generational change and corporate finance related issues. He offers a proactive service and likes to think ‘out of the box’ whilst working closely with his clients. He is one of our academy specialists and has had a vast amount of experience with educational, charitable and not-for-profit organisations. Mark is committed to working with charities and recently organised a large fund raising event to raise funds to acquire educational equipment for an academy for statemented children.
