Graham is one of the UK’s leading specialists in creative industries tax reliefs, with a career spanning over 20 years in HMRC and private consultancy.

As a former lead tax specialist within HMRC’s creative industries unit, Graham was directly involved in shaping and reviewing claims across sectors including film, video games, theatre, television, orchestras and museums.

In 2017, he founded Creative Tax Reliefs Ltd, a firm dedicated to supporting creative companies in navigating these specialist reliefs. To date, the firm has delivered over 1,000 successful claims and secured more than £40 million in tax credits for clients across the UK’s cultural and audio-visual sectors.

In 2025, Graham partnered with Terry Cheesman and UHY Hacker Young R&D to bring this niche expertise under one roof. As a director within the group, Graham continues to lead on claims in the creative industries, offering expert support not only in preparing robust submissions but also in resolving complex HMRC enquiries.
