David is a graduate of the University of Warwick, with an immunological degree and doctorate from Warwick, and ICI Central Toxicology Laboratories, circa 1990! He switched disciplines at that time to become an Inspector of Taxes.  He left the Inland Revenue in 1996, and since has been manager, senior manager and director in a number of UK and Big 4 accountancy firms in the Thames Valley.  He has a great breadth of experience in private client, corporate, transaction and employment tax issues, particularly working with professional and research-based organisations.  He also has significant international taxation experience, having been an active member in a number of international advisory networks. 

David joined Ross Brooke as tax director in March 2019, with a director and consultant remit, based in the Abingdon office and so with easy access to the Oxford, Reading and Milton Park technology clusters.   

Outside work David is a qualified PPL and spends much time flying Warriors and Cherokees around the UK (and soon overseas).  He is also a salmon and trout angler, with favorite haunts on the rivers Eden and Towy.  He also loves DIY and gardening, in the family home in rural Oxfordshire.  David also supports BBONT, Mencap and Tax Aid.
