Aaron Thomas

Aaron is a partner at UHY Hacker Young. He joined the firm in October 2009 after graduating from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Economics.

Having trained with the firm, Aaron has been exposed to a wide variety of clients and business sectors, equipping him with a wealth of knowledge and an adaptable skill set.

With experience in a diverse number of roles and ACA qualified, he plays a key role in the business, managing audits as well as a range of management consultancy services to commercial, education and healthcare sector clients.

Recently Aaron has advised the Boards of two merging organisations with the development of a bespoke Long Term Financial Model to bid for a £1billion healthcare contract. He has also undertaken a range of interim roles and project work across the Midlands and South West for acute, community and mental health providers, as well as a number of commissioning organisations, working with budgets of between £80m to £500m.

Aaron is significantly involved in the academy schools sector, managing a range of Multi-Academy Trusts/Company clients, providing accounting and advisory services to transitioning and established schools.

Furthermore, Aaron also sits on the UHY National Automotive Sector group board and leads the client audits within this sector for the Midlands.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys meeting new people through socialising and travelling. He is also a keen sportsman enjoying snowboarding and triathlons, running the 2017 London Marathon in aid of Dreams Come True.
