Have you seen our 2017 rural sector outlook yet?

We recently published our 2017 rural sector outlook, a document that I think you will find easy to digest over your morning coffee. There are a variety of subject matters covered and everyone should find at least one article upon which to chew the cud with a neighbour or family member.

Since the UK voted to leave the European Union there has been widespread uncertainty as to what the outcomes and repercussions of this decision may be. And, whilst it may take up to two years for the UK to formally leave the EU, businesses should start to plan now for the uncertainty and change that Brexit will bring. You may or may not have voted for Brexit but, now the deed is done, use it to your advantage – be sure to read our Brexit article for some guidance.

Making Tax Digital (MTD), although on hold, is effectively taking a breather while we head towards the election. However, once the new Government comes to light we anticipate that implementation dates will be confirmed and it will be full steam ahead! Within our sector outlook we look at MTD and the positives that will come out of the move; cloud accounting being one of these benefits. The variety of digital platforms on offer will help you to successfully monitor the performance of your business in a more timely and efficient manner. As MTD is such a fast moving area, and the expected time to adoption is short, we are regularly updating our clients on any further developments.
