A big thank you!

Update: thanks to all who donated, we raised an amazing £2590 for the MHF in our raffle and silent auction!

7 September 2017

150 senior members of managerial staff and partners from across our UK offices will get together at the Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club in Birmingham tomorrow, 8 September, for UHY’s National Away Day.  The day comprises meetings of our sector and working groups, a fabulous inspirational speaker, and concludes with an evening dinner and networking.

We have also arranged a silent auction and raffle to support our national charity, the Mental Health Foundation. On average 16 people a day end their own lives due to the struggles that living with a mental illness brings. The Mental Health Foundation is a fantastic charity, leading the search for solutions based on evidence and practice that work in the real world. They deliver programmes, training and guidance that help to prevent mental health problems as well as working to influence policymakers and advocate change. This video provides an example of the work that the MHF do.

We have some great prizes lined up thanks to the support of a number of businesses and individuals; from hotels and restaurants to theatres and sports clubs.  We have been blown away by the level of generosity and would like to thank the following businesses and people for providing prizes and supporting our fundraising efforts for this really worthy cause:

Firmdale Hotels Jon Warsop
Harvey Nichols The Dorchester
The Cinnamon Kitchen West Yorkshire Playhouse
Camp Katur ITV
POLPO The Coach at Edenfield
Icebar London Everyman Playhouse, Liverpool
Borough Green Sand Pits Ltd Ladbrokes
Kenny Wax Productions Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester
Sheffield United FC Royal Liverpool Philharmonic
Hay Hampers Sipsmith
Diageo Elliott Buss and the Cardiff Blues rugby team

We are hoping to generate as much money as possible for the Mental Health Foundation in the silent auction and raffle but are only able to do so due to the generosity of businesses named above. Thank you so much to all for your support.
