I am delighted to announce that our London and Kent offices are now licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) to deal with ‘non-contentious’ probate work. This means that, as well as preparing Inheritance Tax returns and assisting executors with the administration of the estate, we are also able to draw up the probate oath and submit the application to the Probate Registry – in other words, we can offer the full service.
We see this as an important new offering, something that enables us to utilise our knowledge of clients’ affairs and our existing skills to provide sympathetic but efficient help at what is often a very difficult time.
We will, of course, continue to work closely with our friends in the legal profession when it comes to ‘contentious’ matters (for example, if a Will is challenged) and on the property and other legal issues that commonly arise as part of the estate administration process.
Our ‘authorised individuals’ for probate work are:
|Authorised individual||Office||Telephone number||Email address|
|Mark Giddens||London||020 7216 firstname.lastname@example.org|
|Nick Edwards||Kent||01795 email@example.com|
Do feel free to get in touch if we can be of help with the estate of a friend or family member.
