UHY Hacker Young’s London Capital Markets team have recently advised the independent oil and gas exploration and development company, United Oil & Gas plc, on its Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listing.
The deal
- We acted as reporting accountants for the admission to AIM of United Oil & Gas plc.
- Following the AIM admission, we will continue to act as auditors of the group.

The team have supported United Oil & Gas plc throughout their growth strategy which has seen the Group expand its interest to having nine active licenses grouped into six different identified oil and gas plays across the UK, Italy and Jamaica.
Having previously advised on the Group’s reverse takeover (RTO) of Senterra Energy plc in 2017, resulting in readmission of the company to the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market, our work continued in 2018 with the company’s successful placing and subscription raising £2.5m before expenses. This was followed by our Reporting Accountant role for this successful AIM listing.
