New partner Andrew Timms joins our Nottingham team

  • Brings two decades of experience working with Owner-Managed Businesses

We are very pleased to welcome Andrew Timms as partner in our Nottingham office.

Andrew has over 20 years' audit experience and joins from business advisory firm PKF Cooper Parry, where he spent over 11 years, as a Partner. He previously spent seven years at “Big 4” accountancy firm Deloitte.

In his most recent role, Andrew focused on advising owner-managed and international businesses and built a portfolio of 55 clients, bringing in a total of £2.3m in annual fees across all service lines. Andrew’s clients spanned many sectors, including healthcare, renewables and engineering.

Andrew also has experience not only advising businesses, but also the families that stand behind them. This involved advising families on the passing down of generational wealth as well as business transfers.

At UHY Hacker Young, Andrew will be looking to help build out the Audit & Business Advisory practice, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses.

Andrew plays an active role in the local community, sitting as Chairman of the Nottingham Park Estate and committee member of the Nottingham Contemporary Museum.

Andrew states: “UHY Hacker Young is one of the leading tax advisors in the UK for businesses and individuals, so this stood out as a fantastic opportunity.

“The Nottingham office of UHY Hacker Young is one of many which contribute to the strong presence of the firm across the UK. I also look forward to leveraging the firm’s network as part of efforts to build out the practice in the East Midlands.”

Laurence Sacker, Managing Partner at UHY Hacker Young, comments: “Andrew’s experience working for other top accountancy firms, advising both individuals and businesses, will prove very valuable.

“Our Nottingham office is a key hub within UHY’s UK Group and, with the addition of Andrew to the team, we will further enhance our capacity to offer leading commercial advice to a growing number of East Midlands businesses.”
