New partner joins UHY Hacker Young

  • Set to join the expanding Brighton office
  • Four more offices join UHY Hacker Young group

Our Brighton office has appointed a new partner, Charles Homan, to strengthen their growing tax team.

Charles has his own practice in Winchester which joined the UHY Hacker Young Group on 1 April, alongside three other offices based in East Anglia. This brings the total number of UHY Hacker Young offices in the UK up to 23. Charles will be dividing his time between the Brighton and Winchester offices.

Charles has over twenty-five years’ experience of advising on tax issues at Top 20 accountancy firms. He has extensive experience of advising clients on a variety of tax and audit issues. His particular focus is on property, land owners, farming and agriculture.

Charles started his career at a small London firm training with David Guest, who is now a senior partner at UHY Hacker Young’s Brighton office, and then on qualifying as a Chartered Accountant moved on to join our London office. He has also held the position of director at Saffery Champness and of partner at Haines Watts. Most recently he has been running his own Winchester practice.

Richard Simmons, managing partner of our Brighton office, says: ‘We are delighted to welcome Charles back to the firm. He has a wealth of experience and extensive knowledge of the tax issues surrounding land ownership and property and will make a valuable addition to UHY Hacker Young’s Brighton team.’

Charles adds: ‘I’m delighted to be returning to UHY Hacker Young after an absence of some fifteen years. The group is expanding steadily and now has 23 offices across the UK. This feels like an excellent time to be part of UHY Hacker Young.’
