We are delighted to announce that Luke Thompson, Assistant Manager in our Accounts and Audit team, has been shortlisted for Accountant of the Year in the 2019 Made in Manchester awards. The full shortlist was revealed on 7 December.
The awards, which will take place on 7 February, focus on excellence in innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, training and development, and leadership. They celebrate the best of Manchester’s young business talent aged up to 35.
Luke joined UHY Hacker Young's Manchester office in March 2016. During his time with the firm, he has successfully built a portfolio of clients, as well as technical expertise across UHY’s core sector specialisms; Automotive, Academy Schools, Property and Sports. He has shown the utmost passion, commitment and dedication to his role 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Commenting on the shortlist announcement, Mark Robertson, Managing Partner at UHY Hacker Young Manchester, said, “As always, the competition was tough for MIMA this year. We are delighted that Luke has been recognised as part of the shortlist, which is a testament to both the quality of his work and the level of commitment he has to his role, but also the high calibre of staff we have at UHY Manchester.”
