Joe: everybody goes out of their way to make others feel welcome
Joe is an Assistant Manager in our Manchester office personal tax team. He joined UHY in October 2022 as a Tax Senior and was promoted to Assistant Manager in April 2023, seven months after joining UHY. He shares his thoughts about what it has been like to join UHY Manchester and the support he has received to date.
How does UHY support your career progression?
I joined UHY as a tax senior following the completion of my ATT and CTA qualifications at previous firms and have recently been promoted to Assistant Manager in my first year.
During my short time at UHY I have developed my knowledge, skills, and commercial understanding. I feel supported and the management team at UHY are always happy to discuss career progression and are proactive when looking at ways that they can help to further my career.
What is the social aspect like at UHY?
The social aspect is a huge part of the UHY culture. Although the firm is growing, there are many great opportunities to socialise within the departments and get to know those who you wouldn’t usually speak to on a daily basis. Everybody really goes out of their way to make others feel welcome.
