From 1 January 2022, the FCA’s new Investment Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR) will come into effect. This will make significant changes to the framework governing investment firms authorised under the revised Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II).
The FCA’s objective is to ‘streamline and simplify the prudential requirements for MiFID firms’.
This will represent a major change for UK investment firms and it is critical they fully understand what impact this will have and be ready for its implementation.
