Michelle Hughes has been with UHY Hacker Young since 2017 where, two years later in 2019, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. She has been a key member of the Audit and Accounts team, gaining significant experience in sizeable and complex groups, including with overseas subsidiaries of corporate groups.

Her contribution to UHY was quickly recognised and Michelle was promoted to audit manager in 2021. Michelle is also known for her work with charities and other non-profit entities including academy schools.

Throughout her more than ten years of audit experience, Michelle has worked with clients in various commercial sectors and diverse levels of size and complexity. She has a particular specialism with her detailed approach to financial reporting and also has a thorough knowledge of UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP).
