UHY Hacker Young, the national accountancy group, has announced the promotions of Chris McKain to partner and Hannah Kasem to director in its Nottingham office.
Chris has been with UHY Hacker Young for more than 10 years, having trained and worked previously at two other large UK accounting firms. His work focuses on not-for-profit clients, including sporting bodies, owner-managed businesses and larger corporate groups across the East Midlands.
Chris’ experience covers audit and assurance work, sector-specialist audits and due diligence projects. He is well known for his practical, hands-on approach with clients and passion for delivering a high-quality service that supports long-term growth. He brings a wide range of commercial experience and sector understanding to the Nottingham team.
Hannah has been promoted to director within UHY Hacker Young’s Nottingham Tax Advisory department. Having trained with the firm, Hannah now advises a wide range of clients, including owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals, on both corporate and private client tax planning.
She delivers tailored advice on tax planning, succession planning and business exits, helping clients achieve their long-term objectives. Her expertise in personal tax, particularly Inheritance Tax, allows her to offer practical, forward-thinking advice that helps clients preserve wealth and manage complex tax challenges.
