We are delighted to appoint four new directors to or London and Nottingham partnerships. All four of them have earned their places through their great contributions to the firm, and we all look forward to them playing an even more central role over the coming years.
Skevi Iacovou has been promoted to director within the turnaround & recovery team, where she has over ten years’ experience in our London office. Skevi works across a range of UK sectors and specialises in advising on corporate insolvencies from owner managed businesses to small and medium sized enterprises. As director, she will now begin taking on appointments of her own.
On the promotion, Skevi commented: “It’s been very rewarding to work at UHY Hacker Young for over ten years. I’m delighted to be taking on more responsibility at the firm.”
Irfan Topia has been promoted to director in the corporate finance department in London. Irfan has prior experience at a Big 4 firm and specialises in advising businesses on transactional requirements such as business sales & acquisitions, fundraising and valuations. He takes pride in delivering a hands-on and pragmatic service.
Irfan commented: “UHY Hacker Young has a stellar reputation for providing a high-quality service to customers. I’m looking forward to continuing working with the firm in a more senior position.”
Julie Parry has been promoted to director in the audit team at the Nottingham office. Julie has worked for UHY Hacker Young since 2005 across several sectors including charity, leisure, construction and IT.
Julie said she is "...very happy to be continuing my work in the audit team, where I’ve enjoyed helping clients for nearly two decades. I look forward to being a director and continuing to deliver for our clients as the Nottingham office continues to grow.”
Salima Visram has been promoted to director in the business advisory services department in London. Salima joined UHY Hacker Young in 2012 as a BAS graduate. She has been working in the service charge team, auditing and preparing accounts on residential service charges, for the last 12 years.
Salima said: “It’s been a pleasure to be part of the service charge team as it’s grown its portfolio. I look forward to developing the team further.”
