In a significant move, our London & Nottingham and Brighton & Hove firms have agreed to combine with Affinia, the UK’s fastest-growing Top 50 fully integrated accounting and advisory firm, backed by Sovereign Capital Partners, subject to all regulatory and other approval processes completing.

News of the combination was covered in an article by Accountancy Age.

This combination will create a £100m revenue, 1,000 people firm with 17 offices. UHY Affinia will become a member of our UHY Hacker Young Group, positioning us as a Top 25 purpose-led accountancy provider in the UK with a significant nationwide footprint.

All other UK member firms within our Group that are not part of the combination will continue to operate as independent members within our network.

Together, UHY Affinia and our wider UHY network firms will have total revenues of £150m+, placing us as one of the UK’s leading national accounting services providers. Through our UHY International network, our global revenues will exceed $1 billion across over 360 offices in 95 countries worldwide.

This exciting development supports all firms' strategic plans for ambitious growth whilst aligning on our joint and ongoing commitment to helping our clients, colleagues and communities prosper.

This combination is Affinia’s largest transaction to date and reflects the accelerating consolidation taking place across the UK accounting sector. Clients are facing increasing regulatory, commercial and technological challenges and firms need the right scale and investment to keep pace.

Darren Redmayne, Group CEO of Affinia, said: “By joining forces with UHY, we are creating a Top 25 UK provider with the scale, ambition and investment to grow nationally while staying focused on what matters most: our clients, colleagues and the communities we serve.
