UHY Hacker Young has welcomed a new member firm, Haines Watts South West LLP, to its network. This will further strengthen UHY Hacker Young’s presence in the South West and enhance its expertise in the agricultural sector.

Haines Watts South West joins the group with effect from 1 April 2026 and will become UHY Peninsula. The specialist team provides accounting, tax and advisory services to a broad range of local businesses and private clients, with offices in Launceston and Okehampton. The firm has a particular specialism in agriculture, which represents around 70% of its client base.

This addition of UHY Peninsula, is the first since three UHY Hacker Young offices announced their combination with Affinia, the UK’s fastest growing Top 50 accountancy group, who have also become members of the UHY Hacker Young Group, taking it to £150m in total revenues.

Haines Watts South West has built a strong reputation across the region for providing rural businesses with practical financial advice and long-term planning. Joining the UHY Hacker Young network will provide the firm with access to specialist expertise across the wider group while enabling the team to continue delivering partner-led services to clients across Devon and Cornwall.

The firm is led by Managing Partner Fiona Davey, alongside partners Melanie Stone and Vincent Edwards. Together, the leadership team brings decades of experience advising agricultural and owner-managed businesses in the South West.

Fiona Davey, Managing Partner at UHY Peninsula, says: “We are delighted to be joining the UHY Hacker Young network. Becoming part of the national group will give our clients access to a wider range of specialist expertise while allowing us to remain firmly rooted in the rural communities we serve across Devon and Cornwall.

“We are particularly excited about helping to strengthen UHY Hacker Young’s commitment to supporting the UK’s farming sector.”

Colin Wright, Group Chairman at UHY Hacker Young, says: “We are very pleased to welcome UHY Peninsula to the UHY Hacker Young network. Fiona, Mel and Vince have built a well-respected firm with deep roots in the South West rural business community.”

“Their strong expertise in the agricultural sector makes them a valuable addition to the group and will help further strengthen our support for farming businesses and rural enterprises across the UK.”
