Role overview

Working within our tax department, you will provide tax consulting and advisory services to our clients and support our partners with the same. You must have experience in working within a mixed tax practice role.

You will be exposed to many aspects of tax including but not limited too:

  • Employee share incentive plans, employment related securities returns
  • Corporate reconstructions
  • HMRC tax clearances
  • Trust tax planning
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Transactional work including tax due diligence
  • Overseas aspects including double tax treaties
  • Capital gains tax planning
  • VAT advice
  • EMI returns
  • ATED and residential property CGT returns

The position may not be limited to the above aspects and include but not be limited to the below:

  • Preparation of personal tax returns
  • Preparation of partnership tax returns
  • Assisting with the reporting of capital disposals under the 60-day reporting regime
  • Checking the appropriateness of PAYE coding notices
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Checking tax calculations and repayments

Person Specification / Academic Requirements

Ideally you are CTA qualified or ACA/ACCA with 2-5 years experience in a mix tax practice role.

Working arrangements

The working week: 36.25 hours per week, to be worked from 09h00 to 17h15 Monday to Friday. Location: UHY Hacker Young, 168 Church Road, Hove, BN3 2DL.
