Why UHY?
I studied Maths at Durham University and decided, during my second year, that I wanted to pursue a career in accounting and started my research to look for available vacancies. I saw that UHY’s website was really impressive and the tag line of Helping You Prosper really resonated with me, so I applied.
Life at UHY
Since joining, I haven’t stopped learning! Whether it is on client jobs developing my auditing skills and knowledge, or in the classroom, studying to become an ACA qualified accountant. UHY have been fantastic in helping me learn about the industry and to put my training into practice by allowing me to work on a variety of challenging and exciting audits of some interesting companies. They have supported my studies brilliantly – answering anything I’m finding challenging in the classroom with expert knowledge. Through my ICAEW progress mentor, who I meet with regularly to discuss my progress and set goals for the next period, whilst keeping a focus on ethics. In the twelve months I’ve worked here, I have worked with new people on almost every job. This has allowed me to build a trusted internal network of people who have all really helped to make me feel welcome, from other assistants through to the partners. Everyone is friendly, approachable and display impressive knowledge of the job, which has really helped me to develop quickly in a short space of time.

Bailey Morgan joined the UHY Manchester team in August 2021 as an Audit Assistant Level 1 and has since been promoted to Level 2.
