Thomas Devonshire

Tom joined UHY as a trainee in 2007 after graduating from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Commerce. He is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has over nine years’ experience in both the private and public sectors.

One of Tom’s significant roles within the firm is audit director, providing and managing internal and external audit services to a growing number of academy schools and limited companies, as well as providing a range of other non-audit services.

He also provides a range of management consulting services to healthcare organisations and local government organisations. This has involved a variety of interim roles and project work across the Midlands and South East for mental health, acute and community providers as well as a number of commissioning organisations, most recently undertaking an interim role as Deputy Chief Finance Officer at a NHS organisation with a £360m budget.

Outside of the office, Tom enjoys networking, socialising, the odd game of golf and travelling in search of warmer climes! He recently captained the Birmingham office to victory in a charity six-a-side football tournament held to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
