Charity audit threshold rises to £1m from 31 March

The audit threshold for charities in England and Wales has been increased from £500,000 to £1m, with effect from 31 March 2015.

The Charity Commission has published a very useful guide to charity reporting. The guidance is aimed at trustees and describes the reporting requirements that charities are obliged to follow.
BeatBullying report published

The Charity Commission has published its report into the high profile collapse of BeatBullying. Whilst the Commission found no evidence that the collapse "arose due to financial misconduct or mismanagement, or misapplication of funds”, they suggest that trustees can learn lessons from the experience.
