Our London office will host the 25th anniversary annual meeting and AGM of UHY, the international accounting and consultancy network, of which it was a founding member.
Established in 1986 and based in London, UK, UHY is the 23rd largest international accounting and consultancy network in the world, with offices in nearly 240 major business centres in 78 countries. Seven new firms have joined the network in 2011 alone; Azerbaijan, Belgium, China, El Salvador, Finland, Jamaica and Japan.
The annual meeting will be held from 26-29 October 2011 at the five-star Landmark London Hotel. The event is being hosted by our London office, the UHY founder member firm.
Highlights of the annual meeting will include a talk on the European economic crisis by Alex Brummer, City Editor of the Daily Mail, and a talk about the City of London by historian and TV presenter, Dan Cruickshank.
A 25 year review of the UHY international network will be presented by Ladislav Hornan, Managing Partner of UHY Hacker Young, immediate past Chairman and board director of UHY, and John Wolfgang, Chairman of UHY.
Ladislav Hornan, Managing Partner, comments: “This is a landmark year for the UHY network and we are hugely proud to be hosting the annual meeting and AGM in London. This is a year in which interest among businesses to have an international reach has hit a new high water mark.”
“The UHY international network has expanded rapidly since the start of the year – we now have ambassador firms in important markets including China and Japan. The growth of the international network is providing significant benefits to our clients around the world. Many of our member firms are now punching far above their weight in advising on international tax, cross-border transactions and other international work.”
The programme for the four-day event will also feature a drinks reception at the Victoria & Albert Museum, a visit to Windsor, Eton and Runnymede and a gala dinner at The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
