Year end tax planning 2008/9
A number of new measures to counter tax avoidance schemes were announced in the Pre-Budget Report (24th November 2008), with many taking effect from that day. Budget Day 2009, recently announced as 22nd April 2009, may potentially yield further restrictions on tax saving opportunities. Consequently, we recommend that you seriously consider taking action before 6th April 2009, or if earlier Budget Day, whilst the opportunities detailed below are still available.
