The next step
In the face of so much uncertainty there have been calls for an implementation delay, but it is unlikely that any will be forthcoming.
Commentators are already bemoaning a lack of preparedness within the UK plc's finance departments and boardrooms. For the smaller listed company we believe that there is still time to plan and prepare a smooth and successful transition to IASs provided that the project starts very soon indeed.
