Bip Bhattacharyya

Bip Bhattacharyya came to the United Kingdom after obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree from Calcutta University. He trained with an accounting firm in London and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1973. He then spent five years with the London office of Ernst & Young, joined UHY Hacker Young in 1978 and became a partner in 1982. He has extensive experience in:-

• Company flotations and corporate finance work.
• Financial investigations.
• Accounting and business advice.
• Audit of listed and unlisted public companies and large private companies.

The business sectors he has been involved with include, inter alia, plantations, hotels, properties, demolitions, electronics, manufacturing industries, retail food markets, tea and coffee productions, charities, training establishments, airlines, insurance companies and securities houses.

Bip is head of the firm's Asian Business Community Division. This division offers mid to large sized UK based Asian businesses a wide range of specialist services including audit and accounting; assistance with raising debt and equity finance; personal, partnership and corporate taxation, including international tax; and advice on flotations, mergers and acquisitions.
