Job description

We are looking for an outgoing, creative and highly organised, Marketing Assistant to join the team in this exciting period of growth. The role is unique with the opportunity to work across various sectors and be a key member of the team, with a genuine route for progression.

The role is currently shared with the existing Marketing Executive and Senior marketing executive who report into our Business Development and Marketing Director. As part of a four-person team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the full breadth of marketing and BD activity as well as working with the national marketing team as required. 

The role is incredibly varied and is an excellent opportunity for a talented marketing professional to develop their career in professional services.

Job description

As a Marketing Assistant, your typical daily duties will include:

  • Reporting to senior members of the team and the BD & Marketing Director 
  • Regularly updating internal comms  
  • Actively contributing innovative ideas and solutions to support marketing initiatives and enhance brand engagement
  • Developing new client schedules 
  • Involved in the facets of online social media, including Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Assisting senior members of staff with ad-hoc jobs, such as helping with booking for charity activities 
  • Leading the firm wide new starter process 
  • Involved in the business development campaigns by helping with the admin preparation side 
  • Participating in team meetings; recording the meeting minutes and action points
  • Taking ownership of our business market platform, this includes ensuring staff members have the right logins
  • Assisting in ad-hoc marketing requests (including development of bespoke collateral)
  • Involvement in event organising (seminars, dinners, networking, monthly property event; national charity events)
  • Seeking input from others and being open to new ideas and opinions from colleagues
  • Organising internal and external team social activities

Person specification

  • Good knowledge on digital platforms such as social media
  • Background in a innovative and creative environment
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office packages 
  • Strong organisational skills to manage tasks, schedules and resources efficiently
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Be approachable to all members of the team
  • Ability to work as part of a team and offer support and training to less experienced members of the team 
  • Maintain objectivity, professionalism and independence in client and team relationship
  • Present yourself in a professional manner to the client/team at all times, including being appropriately dressed and communicating in an appropriate manner
  • Well researched, enthusiastic and knowledgeable on:
