Overview
The firm is recruiting for an Audit Senior to join the Nottingham office.
The Partners and Staff at UHY in Nottingham provide a range of accounting, audit, taxation and management accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients. As well as SMEs (Small to Medium-sized Enterprises), we also look after the business concerns of very small entities such as sole-traders and partnerships as well as the affairs of some large businesses with much more complex, technical requirements.
Purpose of the Role
- To deliver an external audit service to a range of clients in a range of sectors in a timely and efficient manner.
- To assist managers in the planning and completion of audit work and to lead audit fieldwork on a variety of clients.
Person Specification
This role may be ideal for an ambitious individual with a smaller firm wanting to move to a Top 20 or for someone currently in an environment where there is limited opportunity for progression – the right person can expect early responsibility and will progress through the ranks and play a real role in the future of our practice.
Candidates are likely to be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) although we will consider accountants qualified by experience. A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications is a must and knowledge of Sage, Viztopia and the ProAudit packages will be beneficial.
Remuneration:
- Normal hours of work are 37.5 per week, to be worked from 9.00am to 5.30pm
- 28 days holiday including statutory bank/public holidays rising with length of service and/or promotion. The firm also operates a discretionary Christmas shutdown that is not counted as part of staff holiday entitlement
